Feet Talk
Just got back from my 2-day trip with my 10-year old cousin. Went there as her chaperone for the Regional Presscon coz her dad won't allow her to go without a chaperone. Her mom couldn't go because her lola will arrive a day after they're supposed to leave for Cebu. Buti nalang her Ate was ever-willing to go to Cebu for a few days =p
They're gone the whole day, and luckily for me, chaperones aren't allowed at the contest site so I don't have to go with them at the site. Nagpresscon din ako sa malls. Now I feel I have enough footwear to last me till end of next year. I had to hide some stuff I bought coz my mom would probably freak out when she finds out all the nonsense stufft I've bought. It helped that I brought a half-empty large backpack so it still had room to hide some of my stuff. I think I spent more than what I'm supposed to spend. Goodbye, spare cash. Now I feel guilty. No more online shoppping this month. Bukas pwede na ulit kasi December na eh.Heheh I finally had a chance to use my cwedit card since I found the the black Devil Skin for his Ipod at iStore that he's been looking for since last year. We're not really allowed to use our cards for shopping, pang "emergency purposes" lang daw, but since I might run out of cash if I used my own money to get that case, she allowed me to use my card. Now I wonder, if I wanted a super-duper-uber gorgeous bag and feel that I just have to get it or else I'd die, would that be considered as an emergency? :)
Anyway, last night was my first time to travel alone. I thought it was no big deal since I've been travelling the same route for the past few years with my mom or friends so I thought it wouldn't make any difference if I did it alone. But I was wrong. Maybe I just wasn't used to travelling alone but I got pretty worried last night. Large crowds make me uncomfortable. When I boarded the boat and settled in my bed, I felt releived at first since my bunks mates were females so I kinda felt safe. But then an hour after the boat left the port, there were these teenage boys that started roaming around. Paranoid as I am, I transfered my bags near my head part so that all my stuff were at my eye level. I covered my face with my jacket's hood so that they can't see my face. Unfortunately, of all the places to tambay, dun pa sa harap ko sila nagtambay. They practically slept there na rin. I know they're harmless and they probably just wanted fresh air(kasi mahangin dun sa lugar ko) but they can't blame me for suspecting them for something else. And they were right infront of me, whispering and staring like I was a specimen in science class.
When I woke up at about 3am, the guys were gone and my stuff were still intact and complete. Good, so I went back to sleep. When I woke up an hour after, I heard someone say "Makikita mo talaga sa paa kung maganda siya o hindi" Hello? You're infront of me, I can hear you! :whatever: I thought they were the same group, but when I got up to get ready to leave, I realized ibang group na pala sila. This time, they were young adults slightly older than me. When I was almost done fixing, one of the guys came over and said his friend wanted to ask for my name. And this time, the people around us were staring at him kaya parang nahiya siya at umupo sa tabi ko. My high-school teacher who was on the same boat was also watching us so it felt kinda weird. He started to ask me where I was from and where I was studying, etc. I, on the other hand, was not in my normal state of mind since I just woke up so I gave him one-word answers. He introduced me to his "friend" nearby and I said hi. Unfortunately, right now, I have no idea what their names were. I do remember that the guy who approached me was cuter than his "friend". Shortly after that, the coast guard announced that we've arrived in Dumaguete so I immediately left without saying goodbye (they stayed coz they were goin to Dapitan). It's so weird to hear a group of guys talking about your feet. It's scarry, annoying, and maybe a little wee bit flatterring but they don't get pogi points for that. I got off from the boat still shocked with what happened but thankful that I survived my first trip alone. Next time, I'd probably go back to travelling with my brother. It's much safer. No feet talk when my brother's around.
