Overhaul
Well not really...just changed the colors, changed the header and added more nonsense in the sidebar..that's about it.
Im enjoying my last few hours of my 2-day break from Thursday to Friday. Yes, its a 2-day break coz Im goin back to school on Saturday. So so sad. :(
Our duty last Tuesday and Wednesday was quite tiring yet very fullfiling. Knowing I survived my first week of duty with my clinical instructor is another success story. It was different from my previous rotations since 1.) we were in Medical Center 2.) our clinical instructor was a senior faculty of the college, thus, we cant get away with excuses unlike our previous instructors who where new 3.) we're graduating students so everyone expects so much from us. Sad to say, there isnt much to expect from us. Really. Aside from that, there's also the fact that we had to write all our paper works by hand. It's kinda new to us since we all got used with computerized paperworks where one mistake can simply be erased with one push of the backspace. Now, we'd have to get used to wipe outs and liquid erasers. Whats more, we have to pass all the paper by the end of the second day of duty, unlike before, we're usually given one weekend to edit all our paper before we submit it the following week. It's so hard.
O well, Im gonna find something better to do with my few remaing hours of vacation. Toodles everyone!!

dum dee dum
Time flies when you're havin fun. I t's funny how I spend so much time on the net yet I cant think of anything good to say here. Again, Ive spent 5 hours in front of this friggin monitor surfin for whatever-appears-on-my-screen. Now my eyes hurt, my head is throbbing and im dizzy. My eyes are screaming for me to stop looking at the screen yet I do nothing. Im cruel. I know. And I know Im gonna regret this when I wake up one day and I see nothing but darkness.
PANIC
Last week was.... busy. First half of it was spent mostly on my resource unit due last Wednesday.
Actually,I havnt been spending much time for my requirements as I should have. My paper was due on Wednesday at 5pm, but we have a clinical orientation at 7am and pre-data collection at 2pm, so had to get it done by 7am. I had the whole night of Tuesday to type away. Unfortunately, laziness got the best of me so I decided to take a quick nap since it was still 10 pm. I set my alarm to 12 midnight. That would give me 6 hours to finish my paper before I prepare of my class at 7am the next day. To my surprise, I woke up at 4:45am!!! I panicked and headed straight to the pc. I knew all along that I wouldnt be able to finish my 15-page paper in just 1.5 hours but I started typing anyway.
6am came and I had only finished 5 pages since I still had to rephrase everything from the book. On that moment, I had three choices, either: 1.) I skip class and finish my paper 2.) I finish my paper and go to class late 3.) ask someone to finish typing my paper.
Choice #1 is impossible since it was orientation day and I SHOULDNT miss it or else everything will go bananas for the rest of the sem. Choice #2 is also a big no-no since my adviser was VERY lenient with time. And it was our first meeting so I wouldnt dare leave a bad image or else she'll be pinning me down til the end of the sem. So I was left with nothing but choice#3. But who? My friends? Nah..they all have classes too. My brother? He just came from hospital duty and has just started dozing off, so no, I cant ask him. My dad? Duh, he has work. So who else? No one else but my mom. Knowing that she knows almost nothing about computers, I hestitated and desperately tried to think of another option. But with no time and too much panic in my head, I went ahead and asked her if she could do it for me. After a few minutes of crash course on typing, I was on my way to school. The whole time I was in class, I was watching my fone in case my mom had questions about my paper. Fortunately, we were dismissed before 11 so I went straight home finding my mother still in front of the pc. hankfully, nothing went wrong and she was only 4 pages away. So I took over and thanked her for saving my butt. I finished at at around 2. I was able to pass it on time and I was able to join the pre-data collection. That was pretty nerve-wracking. And yeah, thanks mom. :)
Last friday, we went to bais to pilot test our structured health teaching. Since we are tackling about sex education, we had to gather as many resources as we could (which includes purchasing a VCD from F.A.D., borrowing vidoes from the LRC, and consulting every repro health teacher we could think of) and make our own instrument for the structured health teaching. Before we can implement our health teaching to our target population (which is publich high school students from Dumaguete City), we have to pilot test the instrument in another city for pararellism. So we chose Bais City since it has a similar environment.
So after weeks of brainstorming, never-ending proof reading, and 1000php poorer, we finally organized all our resources. We headed to Bais at around 8am and arrived there at 9. We started at around 9:15, went on a lunch break at 12noon, resumed the class at 1 and ended at 3:30. by 4pm, we were on our way home. It was successful. Eventhough most of us were exhausted from the days work, we couldnt help but feel proud and fullfilled. 1 school down, 3 more to go. Im actually excited with this whole data gathering thing. I just hope everything turns out well til the last school.
Next week will we duty week. Im actually excited and nervous. Everyone who goes on duty can atest to how I feel. Its actually fun, except for the downside: all our paper requirements are to be HANDWRITTEN. Apparently, a lot of students were caught copy-pasting their papers so this sem, they decided to have everything written to prevent us from making the same mistakes again. :( Goodbye pc, hello ballpen. :(
But we do have a break on Thursday & Friday since it's the town fiesta. But it would still be a long day for us since we'd be going back to Bais for our post test. Then it will be back to school on Saturday for a whole day of ward class. COllege of Nursing knows no weekends. :(
Have to go, I have to psych myself for tomorrow's duty. Wish me luck. Pray that I dont do anything stupid in the hospital, and worse, pray that I dont kill anyone. Hehe. Toodles!

go bid at ebay.ph!
Im back from a week of silence. I was'nt away. I was just too lazy to type anything here or tag on tag boards. In fact, Ive been online everyday since last week, staying up until 4 am, lurking on other people's sites, visiting online stores and bidding on ebay. Haha!
Yes, after all these months of fishing ebay for something cheap and useful, I finally found something worth registering and bidding for. I found this Paul Frank bag for Php150! I was reluctant at first since I had no experience in online shopping and Ive heard so many horror stories about online buyers. But then I figured out it was worth a try, besides, it doesnt involve my parents' credit cards since I can pay through G-cash. So I registered, I bid, and I won! Hahah I was actually the only one who bid for that item. :) I placed my bid on the dawn of Saturday and I won the bid on the noon of Saturday. I was online when received the email from ebay notifying me that I got the bid, so I immediately emailed the seller (from Cebu) about the details. After an hour, she texted me about the shipping and payment details. I was supposed to pay it on that day itself but since I was busy and I didnt have the chance to go the Globe Center to pay, I asked if I could pay her on Monday instead. So there, Im gonna go to Globe tomorrow so that I could get my item by Tuesday or Wednesday. Yeepeeeee!! :)
Classes formally starts tomorrow. New teacher, and yes, new classmates. I dont really know what to expect in my last semester in college. I just hope I get out of it alive.
I was sorting through my forwarded emails earlier and these images caught my attention:
Their version of isaw?!

in case you were wondering, those are starfishes, cockroaches, grasshoppers and scorpions!

pero eto ang da best....

taadaaaa!!!
I actually found a lot of interesting photos from my mails ranging from street paintings to sand castles. I wanted to post them here but I cant seem to copy&paste links right now. Something's wrong. Everything was okay minutes ago (as evidenced by pictures above). The copy/paste function just suddenly stopped. hmmm....
anyway, my old link (iamlica.blogspot.com) is back. I was actually test driving my site for public viewing. I posted my link in my friendster profile, meaning all my contacts in friendster has the link to my blog. Publicity. Since it's just a test run, I changed the link so that when the test run is over and when I take down the link in my friendster, none of them can track down this site. I placed a redirector in my old link so that when people click my old link, they will be automatically redirected to my new link (brainmelt.blogspot.com) whithout hassle. Now that test drive is over, it's just iamlica, no more brainmelt. You see, not much of my personal friends know that I run a site. Not that I have something to hide, I just dont feel like advertising my site. But if they find this, it's totally fine with me.
And to that person who left me his/her number in my question box just minutes ago, please identify yourself. thankyouverymuch! :)
And oh, I was recently looking for someone to host my blog so i signed up at pick-me.net. It's a database of hosts looking for hostees and hostees looking for hosts. In about 24 hours, I got 3 offers right away. But then I realized I wasnt ready to be hosted because: 1.) i still havent learned FTP and most hosts require FTP knowledge 2.) I really have no idea how being hosted works 3.) school is starting and im pretty sure i'd be neglecting my studies AGAIN once im too preoccupied with putting up my new site. So I had to decline their offers as of now. I know I might be regretting these offers in the future but I cant afford to jeopardize my last semester for my site. Maybe when xmas break comes, I'll go hunting for a host again. :) But nonetheless, thanks to Scott, Ales and Wildgene for the offers. Thankyouveryverymuch! :)

Today, I:
- woke up at 12 noon, ate brunch, then left home. I love Jollibee.
- got a haircut. It's short. Doesnt look good on me. But it's short. So I love it.
- finally got my multiline sime from Smart. Two numbers in one sim. yeehee!!
Lately, I promised myself a lot of things if a passed my majors, like:
- get a new haircut, which I already did
- clean my room before classes start again, which I will do SOON
- learn FTP, for future hosting purposes..ehem, anyone? :)
- reward myself a new layout for this blog and perhaps, friendster too, but im thinking twice whether to totally change it or just change the colors
- clean my folder in this PC, too much junk already
- and many others which I cant remember at the moment.
I came across Nokia's newest clamshell. Dem. I wish I had waited for this.

Drool.
Speaking of cellphones, Im having a problem connecting my k750i to the PC. It says "not connected" all the time eventhough it is. Ive already installed al the drivers from the CD that came with the phone. Something's wrong. Help?
to my blog friends, i have temporarily redirected my site to brainmelt. but dont worry, nothing's changed. i'll put it back to my original link later. so dont change your links. thankyouverymuch! :)
i want to change my layout.
people from friendster, mag tag kayo!! :) reveal yourselves or i'll hunt you down! :) :D
