Sam Milby in Dumaguete [edited]
Oo, nakita ko sila kanina.
Apparently, they came to Dumaguete to shoot some of the scenes for their upcoming movie. Yes, it's that movie being advertised in ABS. I don't really know the title, all I know is, next month siya ipapalabas. Biruin mo, may trailer na ang movie nila eh hindi pa nga sila tapos magshooting! O well, it's never to early to start promoting nga naman.
This morning, there were rumors that the three of them were arriving today, some said it's true, some said sa end of the month daw. Since I wasnt really interested, I didnt bother to hear the real issue.
At 3pm, my tita texted me asking whether the rumors were true. I texted her back that I didnt really know whether it was true since I went home at 9am that morning since our class was postponed. While she was texting me, she and my mom were all around the city trying to find the site where they were shooting. Finally, my tita's friend who had connections with ABSCBN told her that the crew was planning to go to Shakey's para kumain since it was just across the boulevard where they were set to shoot a scene.
I was already in school when my tita got the message from her friend so they texted me to fetch my cousin in elementary school and meet them at Shakeys. Pagdating namin dun, ang dami nang tao sa boulevard kasi nagsimula na pala ang shooting. My cousin was bugging me to go with her to watch the shooting, but since Im not a fan nga, I told her to ask her mom or my mom nalang. And since both of our parents were excited, the three of them practically dragged me to go with them. So I had no choice. Since most of the people were on the streets and on the boulevard, we opted to stay at the entrance of Bethel Guest House since it was elevated. But when we got closer, nagkagulo ang mga tao, paalis na pala yung transpo nila. But since they were all crowded in the streets, nahirapang lumabas yung sasakyan nila so a lot of people had a chance to take pics kahit sa window langng sasakyan. And me, eto lang nakuha ko.

We thought it was over so we went back to Shakeys to continue eating. After a few minutes, napansin namin, di pa umaalis yung mga tao sa boulevard, at biglang nagkagulo ulit. Turns out, nagbreak lang pala sila then nagresume na naman sa shooting. So again, they all dragged me outside again. This time, they didnt settle for a distant view lang, talagang nakisingit na kami sa crowd. And since nandun din lang naman kami, pumunta na rin kami sa pinakaharap. -Sorry sa lahat ng inovertake-an namin- I started taking pictures with my fone kahit malayo. Zoom lang ng zoom. My cousin had a camera with her so she got better pics kasi may flash. But when the crew member saw us, she was like " Ay! Di po pwede yung may flash! Bawal po eh!" So yun, we had to settle for dim pictures since it was past 6pm na. For a moment there, I was quite confused with who's who. I actually thought Sam was Geoff Eigenman! After a few clicks, they had to back us off since magsisimula na yung scene where all of them were in a motorcycle and Sam & Bea were being chased by John Lloyd and his friends.

That was their last scene so after that, they packed up and left na, and so did the people.
While resizing the pics, I realized how stupid I am. I had a 2 megapixel fone but I didnt bother to use the biggest resolution! How stupid can I get?
Sam actually looked friendly. He was always smiling. And he was nice to his fans. Si Bea naman, ok lang. She barely smiled though. People barely noticed John Lloyd. All eyes were on Sam. Maybe because it wasn't his first time to come here na.
Tomorrow, they're scheduled to shoot at Hibbard Hall for Sam's concert scene (?) at 7am and the first 100 students to arrive there gets to be the extras. So I guess a lot of students will be going to school early tomorrow. Then they're going to shoot at the Luce grounds at 9am. I'll be in class the whole day tomorrow so I guess I'll be missing all the buzz in the campus.
It didn't really make me an instant fan of the actors but I guess I'll be watching the movie. Just to see how Dumaguete looks on big screen. So please, somebody tell me the title of their movie!!
Last but not the least:

[EDIT]
Ok, last night I thought I'd be missing all the buzz this morning since I had classes from 7am-4pm. But I was wrong.
Upon hearing about the shooting at the amphi theater, our instructor postponed our class for an hour just so we could watch them! How's that for a teacher?

This was the crowd when we arrived that morning, but it slwoly filled up an hour later.
The amphi theater was situated infront of Silliman church and unfortunately, there was a scheduled mass for High School students at 8am. So the film crew anounced that they'd have to wait for the mass to finish before they could start the "concert scene." But while the mass was going on, they told us they'd be filming a part of the concert scene but without Sam since they figured out everyone would be screaming if Sam was around and it would greatly distract the ongoing mass. So yung band members lang muna yung pinalabas nila and meeehhhhnnn ang gwapo nung guitarist! They started playing the music which Sam was supposedly playing with the band and asked the audience, including us, to act as if the concert was going on and Sam was infront. I didnt join, instead, I kept on taking pictures of the guitarist. hehehe bahala na si Sam, I want the guitarist!

Sorry but most of my pictures are of this guy and not Sam. hehehe (obviously, he's the one in brown shirt)
After a while, Bea and John Lloyd came out coz they were about to shoot a scene.

The mass took so long to finish that our classmate texted us to go back to the classroom na since we were gonna start our class. We went back to class without seeing Sam or the concert scene. But I was totally fine with it. Ok nako sa guitarist. hehehe
During lunch time, Suzzie and I ate at the caf and we found out that they were supposed to have lunch there too. I dont know why they suddenly had change of plans and decided to have lunch at the alumni hall instead. After eating, lumabas na sila and went straight to their vehicles getting ready to leave. Kami naman, lumabas na rin sa caf kahit ang daming tao sa labas. On our way out, we stopped at the gate so that we can see their vehicles pass by. FORTUNATELY, traffic sa daan so their vehicle had to stop at the gate, RIGHT INFRONT OF US!!! I was shocked so I just stared at the guy (another guitarist) at the window, after a few seconds, seeing me and Suzzie with blank faces, he smiled at me so we smiled back. hahaha! I didnt know what to do. Oh well, that was about it. Nothing more, nothing less.

the other guitarist guy is the one with curly hair
Now Im definitely gonna watch that movie. Not because of Sam, Bea or John Lloyd and not because I want to see my school on big screen. I wanna see the guitarist! I'm not sure, but I think his name is Chris. Ewan ko lang coz I never really had the guts to approach him and have my picture taken with him. Now I regret not doing it. :(

Today is the worst day for this semester. Bad. Bad. Bad day.
I, along with 80% of my class, went on duty in the hospital without finishing our paper requirements (i.e. care plans, functional health patterns and pharma cards).
We've been doing that since the start of the sem but it didnt really matter since all of the papers were collected at the end of the last day of duty or the following week. But today, our C.I. decided to surprise us, she collected our paperworks on the start of our first day of duty!! No one saw it coming and true enough, we were all caught red-handed, except for a few who were diligent enough to make the requirements the night before.
After passing our almost-blank papers by 7:30 am, everyone was nervous about the consequences it would bring. Althroughout the day, I couldnt stopwishing the shift would be over so that we could have our post conference and have my share of sermon from my CI andget it over and done with. I was pretty sure I'd get the biggest award of all since I passed the least requirements. My prayers were answered even before I got to eat my lunch. After having my snacks, Suzzie and I stayed in the sala while the others ate their lunch. After a few minutes, our CI gathered her things and sat across us in the sala. Hen she started checking, rather, commenting on our papers and marking them “incomplete” with her red ballpen. When it was my paper’s turn, before she could say anything, I told her it was mine. So she said, “o, what happened to this? Where are your care plans?” I told her I left it at home, which was partly true coz I really started making my FHP but I didn’t finish it and even if I did finish everything, I still wouldn’t have brought it to school today since I really thought she was gonna get it tomorrow pa. Anyway, when she heard my answer, she answered back with a big “ Whaaaattt?!?!?” And that started my great sermon for the day. I didn’t dare make another excuse and just accepted everything she told me. She wasn’t harsh, in fact, she made sense, and I know it was my fault so I don’t hate her. After that, I felt a little better until GP told me that our CI approached her and told her she hasn’t decided yet on what to do with those students with incomplete requirements. GP was one of us too. Hehehe So kinabahan na naman ako. What could she possibly have in mind? Incident report? Another batch of sermon? Talk to our parents? Efficiency Rating?
After our shift, she sat down with all of us and started the group sermon. So I had two batches of sermon today while others had one. And after a few silent moments, she finally decided to give us non-credit for our assessment hours the whole day yesterday. That means, we have a deficit of 8hours which we will need to pay at the end of the sem. I think that’s fair enough. And I’m so glad it’s over.

I Need Your Help
This is so frustrating.
Can you see my sidebar?
No? Yes?
I had my site reviewed in Blog Advance and that's what they told me. Grrrr! Ive tried everything I could think of but I still cant seem to fit the site in the screen! It always ends up with a scroll bar below, meaning, the layout is too big and when the page finishes loading, it starts to overlap that's why my sidebar disappears!
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Please please please... I'll be forever grateful!
If you cant post it in my tag board or my comment box below, please email me at iamlica@gmail.com
Thank you!

**Monkey Wonderland**
aloha!!
Welcome to my annoyingly-perpol-pol prank-inspired blog. After a stressful week of exams and reports, I decided to reward myself a new layout. So sorry for this very elementary looking layout, I havent reinstalled the Photostudio so I have to make the best of what I have, Paint.
Nothing's new with me. Kayo? Ano bago?
Nothing good in my mind right now. Blank as ever.
Lemme leave you with this:

Starting the Year Right
Nah. Nevermind the title.
Im supposed to write my year-end entry but im too lazy to do that right now. So I'll just post some recent pics during our delivery room duty this week instead.

Taw2x and his first baby

just so you know, they're facing a door :)

matrix posing, but actually, he's just gonna wash the used instruments

this is what we do when the staff nurses take their lunch break, nagpoposing posing sa desk nila. Know what that small sign below the hanging cabinet says??

bawal kami dun!

this is pure acting but the real thing kinda looks the same

the long list of fast food chains for lunch delivery

pinapakialaman ang mga injections

oxygen tank for dyspnic laboring mothers

Us minus tawi (taking the picture), plus our clinical instructor

Us, minus the clinical instructore taking our picture hehehe

Hand scrubbing area plus the "new" hand dryer

one of the gazillion group pics

Our last baby for 2005

Taken this morning kasi wala kaming ibang magawa

the spotlight's on the Grand Archon of Pan Hellenic Society

Santo Marlowe Soleez - Patron Saint of Labor and Delivery

ang bagong uso na flipflops...in na in sa delivery room!

Playing with the lights
That's practically it....Last day of volunteer duty tomorrow before regular classes resume on Wednesday!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
